Meeting in Czech Republic
February 22-26
The second Learning Meeting was organised in Základní škola in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. 9 teachers from project countries participants were job shadowing from 22 February to 26.
The school is well-experienced hosting observers - trainee students from the university nearby. So the teachers participants had a wonderful opportunity to spend a week in the school where school curriculum is mainly focused on Foreign Languages. First foreign language knowledge child gets at the age of six, 4 times a week (20' sessions). The second foreign language starts in grade 6 (options to choose - German, Russian, Spanish, French). School is very proud to have native speakers who teach their native language for pupils at least a lesson per week. CLIL lessons are taught in Art in grade 8 and Craft in grade in 7. As school is taking part in this project, teachers apply CLIL for pupils from pre-primary classes to the 8th graders in History, Biology, Music, Maths lessons and not only.
