Learning meeting
On March 12-16, project participants gathered in Základná škola s materskou školou F. J. Fugu Vinné. During this short-term joint staff event there was organized a practical training of foreign language teachers for using CLIL method.
The language teachers were trained how to combine theoretical knowledge, experience, provided material and to have a successful CLIL lesson by Mrs. Daniela Krajňáková (Regional manager for Czech republik and Slovakia at Macmillan Education).Being provided with access to database of CLIL material and some other online resources, teachers working in groups created some lesson plans.
Language teachers had also a meeting at Methodological and Pedagogical Centre (Teacher training institute) in Prešov. Different training activities and lectures ('How to teach with CLIL method?', 'CLIL and extensive reading programmes') were organized for the project participants.
The final session was held in Základná škola sv. Cyrila a Metoda, Košice. This primary school is specialized on foreign language teaching and CLIL method usage. Project participants observed lessons and after that had a meeting with school teachers. It was a perfect occasion to share experiences on applying CLIL method.
